We make a difference when building curtain wall, unique facades and engineering.

WE ARE A POINT OF REFERENCE IN THE ENGINEERING OF CURTAIN WALL AND SINGULAR FACADES

CURTAIN WALL FACADE

Curtain wall is defined as the enclosure formed by a grid of vertical and horizontal constructive elements (mullions and girders) acting as a substructure that wraps around the main structure of the building. The different enclosing elements are anchored to this substructure creating a lightweight continuous surface that acts as the separating layer between the inside and the outside of the edifice.Curtain wall is defined as the enclosure formed by a grid of vertical and horizontal constructive elements (mullions and girders) acting as a substructure that wraps around the main structure of the building.

Generally, the acoustic and thermal insulation in a curtain wall construction is guaranteed by the physical qualities of the constituting elements, although in some cases these requirements can also be met by having a traditional cavity wall construction sitting behind it. Therefore the curtain wall construction should by itself or by combining it with a secondary layer of construction perform as a self-sufficient building envelope, but will not bear any load from the main structure of the building..

Aesthetically, a curtain wall lightweight façade, being a continuous skin separate from the floor slabs, allow for highly innovative and rich designs and finishes. For this reason, curtain walling which was in its origins a solution to particular constructive issues arisen in the design of singular buildings has now become a usual element in the urban landscape of our cities.

We classify curtain wall into three different categories according to its assembly system: non-structural glass systems, structural glass systems.
