NATIONAL POLICE STATION OF SAN SEBASTIAN

The new Police Station and National Police Force residence in San Sebastian, is integrated by two annex buildings, both of them with three garage basements floors and seven floors above ground, generating a patio in between them.

One of the buildings is used as the police officers residence and presents a HPL rainscreen facade, while the other building houses the new National Police Station and the material of choice for the rainscreen façade is ACM, both of them with rock wool insulation. Some of the areas of both buildings are resolved with stick curtain wall.

The singularity of the building is determined by its use, being a requirement that the aluminium windows and doors on the ground floor had to be bullet resistant while the glazing had to be blast resistant.
